How to Stay Afloat
My work explores how memory shapes identity through my relationships with family. I use cyanotype, an early photographic process that records light over time, to preserve personal memories through a hands-on approach to image-making. By combining photography, typography, and layered imagery, I reflect on how memories overlap and evolve. The deep blue tones recall the calm and safety I felt growing up near Pelican Lake, while also holding a sense of nostalgia. Through this work, I explore how love, guidance, and faith continue to shape who I am.
